Sports letters to the editor: How about a little golf with your commercials?

How about a little golf with your commercials?

I certainly enjoyed NBC’s coverage of the British Open Championship, particularly when they cut away from their commercials and actually showed a little golf. I always thought that TNT’s coverage of the PGA Championship was the standard for commercials during golf coverage, but I have to believe that NBC has raised the bar.

Since I have a method to record, I was able to record and watch the tournament by fast forwarding through the endless commercials. My sincerest sympathy to those who had to watch the coverage live and endure the nightmare of the NBC commercial marathon.
