Fire danger now high in Spokane and Okanogan counties
Tue., July 26, 2016
The fire danger has increased to “high” in Spokane and Okanogan Counties, leading the state Department of Natural Resources to ban campfires at Leader Lake Campground in Okanogan County.
There is also a high fire danger in northern Lincoln County and Stevens County Fire Districts 1 and 2.
DNR has also banned burning – as well as exploding targets, tracer ammunition and fireworks – on all DNR lands in Eastern Washington. The ban is expected to last until September.
Burn ban updates are available at calling (800) 323-BURN.
