Why not control cars?
Traffic deaths rose by 7.7 percent in 2015 to 35,200, which is the highest number of people killed on U.S. roads since 2008 and the highest percentage since 1966, according to a report from the government and reviewed by Reuters. This amounts to over 96 people per day.
Gun control advocates demand that guns be banned. They cite that 92 people are killed daily in the U.S. by guns.
Why aren’t the same people calling for a ban on cars? They should be demanding a ban on any car that can carry more than four people and a ban on any car that can go faster than 30 miles per hour. Driving a car is a privilege, not a right.
Why don’t gun control advocates demand greater restrictions on automobiles? There is no constitutional right to own or operate an automobile. Yet there is no presidential executive action, no congressional Democratic sit-ins, no liberal public outcry demanding action to restrict and ban automobiles. Is it because these mostly liberal “progressive” Democrat social engineers curry favor with the big money unions?
