Man accused of slipping camera under hotel room door

A man was arrested for voyeurism and residential burglary Wednesday after he allegedly slipped a camera under a woman’s hotel room door while she was showering.

The woman told police that she and a co-worker had adjoining rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott on Riverpoint Boulevard that were connected by a locked interior door. She heard a noise while showering and saw what she said looked like a curved probe with a camera on the end sticking out from under the interior door, according to court documents.

Police spoke to her co-worker, identified as 35-year-old Jason R. Pedigo, who denied having a camera. However, police officers saw an owner’s manual for the type of camera the woman described sitting on Pedigo’s night stand, according to court documents.

Police searched Pedigo’s room after obtaining a search warrant and found a Ryobi brand Tek4 inspection scope under the cushions of the couch, court documents stated. They also located a receipt for the camera, which was purchased at a local Home Depot.
