Dalton Gardens residents spotted a mountain lion Sunday morning, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Deputies responded to the intersection of East Prairie Avenue and North Baillie Street around 9:30 a.m. Sunday and confirmed a young mountain lion was there, the release said.
After the sighting, the mountain lion ran north. Another resident reported seeing it about 15 minutes later running down the road in a subdivision near Stonehaven Drive, the release said.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the sighting to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
