Care for the planet

In the May 23 Spokesman-Review, Leonard Pitts labeled dangerous places on earth, concluding “It’s every polling place in America, come November.” I agree because our votes will contribute to eliminating danger caused by congressional “do nothing” attitudes. Politicians with do-nothing arrogance are so far removed from reality that they ignore our future by refusing to cooperate within and among political parties, thereby instigating and amplifying greed.

Earth is in serious condition due to greed-driven air, land and water pollution. Many congressional politicians ignore that fact. Though paid to lead us, many refuse to understand that scientists are prophets for this age; that their warnings are as legitimate as prophetical warnings in the Holy Bible.

With elections coming up, we need to vote for people bright enough to do something constructive instead of failing the electorate by wasting time and money voting 50-plus times to revoke Obamacare.

What we overwhelmingly need are politicians who will fruitfully negotiate while refusing to allow greed to further deteriorate our planet; politicians who are sufficiently intelligent to visualize planet Earth as a self-sufficient space capsule; politicians who will attempt to understand American needs, true world conditions and negotiate accordingly.
