Liberty Lake Police Blotter: Confrontation in bar leads to assault arrest

A confrontation inside the True Legends Grill in Liberty Lake recently ended in an arrest for assault.

Police were called to the sports bar at 1803 N. Harvard Road around 7:45 p.m. on May 31. A man reported to officers that he had been hit in the face with a glass.

The accused suspect told police that he was upset at the man because the man had caused him and his wife to separate, said Police Chief Brian Asmus. Video surveillance footage showed the confrontation, and the man was arrested for misdemeanor assault.

June 1: Someone cut through a fence to get into All Sport in the 19000 block of East Broadway and entered multiple vehicles that were there for service.

June 2: A resident reported finding a spent bullet in a parking lot in the 1300 block of North Liberty Lake Road. Police had not received any calls about shots being fired or damage from the location.

June 3: A vehicle prowl with $370 worth of items missing was reported in the 600 block of North Garry Road. An abandoned vehicle was towed from the area of Knox Avenue and Madson Road. Someone found a key in the area of Wright Boulevard and Country Vista Drive and turned it in to police. A woman told police that she had just learned that her former boyfriend had sold a car she had allowed him to borrow a year ago.

Arrests: Police made four arrests for driving with a suspended license.

Citations: Officers handed out three citations for failure to show proof of liability insurance. Additional citations were given for expired vehicle registration and no stop lights or turn signal.
