Three people hurt in highway car collision south of Spokane

From staff reports

Two Cheney teens and a Spokane woman were taken to the hospital Wednesday evening following a car collision about five miles southwest of Spokane.

One of the teenage boys was driving a 1994 BMW around 5:45 p.m. and turned in front of a white 2007 Volvo driven by the woman along state Highway 195 at the intersection of Meadow Lane.

Both boys in the BMW, ages 17 and 15, were wearing seat belts. The 31-year-old woman driving the Volvo was belted in, too.

All three were taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The Washington State Patrol reported that the 17-year-old driver was cited for negligent driving.
