IronKids fun run precedes debut of half Ironman in Coeur d’Alene

From staff reports

A one-mile IronKids Fun Run for children ages 3 to 14 will start at 9 a.m. Saturday at McEuen Park in downtown Coeur d’Alene.

On Sunday, the first Coeur d’Alene Ironman 70.3 - a half-triathlon - will start at 6 a.m. in City Park.

The fun run entry fee is $15. Kids will receive a medal, T-shirt, race bib, stickers and other gifts. The fee is waived if a parent volunteers for registration on race day.

Younger children can run a half-mile course.

Register at cdaid.org/parks (click the “Park Events” tab to find a link to IronKids), or at the Parks and Recreation Department at City Hall, 710 E. Mullan Ave. Registration also will be open 7:30-9 a.m. on race day at the McEuen Pavilion.
