Four teens arrested for assault, robbery attempt at Spokane Valley Zip Trip
Tips from the public have led to the arrest of four people suspected of assaulting a customer who tried to intervene in a robbery attempt at the Zip Trip at 8215 E. Trent on June 19.
The store employee told Spokane Valley deputies that the four tried to steal alcohol around 2:15 a.m. and began assaulting him when he tried to stop them. It was then at the customer intervened. He was seriously injured.
Deputies have arrested a 14-year-old, a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds for the crime. All are facing charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. Their names have not been released because they are juveniles.
Detectives have requested that the three oldest teens be tried as adults, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
