High-Five: Stranger’s kind act restores recipient’s faith in people

To many this may be a “big to do about nothing,” but to me it renewed my faith in people at a time when I didn’t have much faith at all. My hero is Nancy, who made my day and week.

I had been grocery shopping at the North Side WinCo and left my purse in the cart in the parking lot. I didn’t realize it until I got home a few minutes later and then started back to the store thinking, “Well, I’d better start canceling my credit cards, get new Medicare cards for insurance” and on and on the list went.

The story ends with good news, Nancy had turned my purse in. Doesn’t sound like much but I can’t express how relieved I was and so happy to think that on a busy Saturday morning someone was a hero.

Thank you is hardly enough.
