Obituary: Benshoof, Elaine (Timboe)

Age 86

BENSHOOF, Elaine (Timboe)
(Age 86)

HURRAH!

Today, Marcy 02, 2016, I am finally going home to see my Heavenly Father and all my loved ones that are waiting for me.

It’s been an adventure here on Earth.

Joy, sorrow, love, heartaches, many mistakes made, so much knowledge gained.

Born in Pullman, WA on February 10, 1930.

Grew up on a farm during the depression.

Necessities were hard to come by.

Luxuries you only dreamt of.

I was taught by my mom, Gertrude and my dad Carl Timboe, to save everything.

Make the most of what you had.

I carried that tidbit with me my entire life, as did my brother, Clyde.

I graduated from North Central High School (Spokane), pretty much at the top of my class.

Quite surprising, as I don’t know how I found the time to study…when there were boys around!

I was lucky enough to have experienced many loves in my life.

My last being my dear husband, Forrest Benshoof.

I had three children, my daughter, Jan Knapp and my sons, Mike and David Nichols.

They were all unique.

I always loved them in good and bad times.

I worked numerous jobs, including St. Luke’s Hospital, where I met my dear friend Meryln Roberts.

We had many adventures together.

I retired from Sacred Heart Medical Center, after putting in 24 years, working with kidney patient’s accounts.

There I met another dear friend, Marge Spencer.

After I was widowed from Forrest in 1993, Marge and I enjoyed many outings of restaurants, movies, bingo, casinos and our glass of wine.

With my Forrest, we fished, traveled on the Washington Coast, cooked meals together, enjoyed Playfair and I tried to learn to golf.

I adored my kitties, Patches, Cali and Dollie.

Recently, I had started to forget things.

As that progressed to worse, my health took a sharp turn downwards.

Now, I have shed my ailing body and I have returned home.

So, Mom, Dad, Forrest, Clyde, Mike, Marge, my granddaughter Dawn Hunt, my niece Carolyn Timboe…let the party begin.

For those I left behind…Jan (Ron), David (Cheri), grandchildren Michelle (Rich), Brian, Edward, Misty (Bobby), Theresa (Zach), Amanda, Kirsten, great-grandchildren, Kyle, Racheal (Pax), Noah, Adi, Tryston, Madi, Justin, Austin, Chris, Miles, Angeliki, nieces, nephews and friends…I miss and love you all so much and will be your guardian angel.

To Hospice and all that were involved in my care, a heartfelt thank you.

And a very special thank you to Rich Denney, for all your patience and time spent with me and to Theresa Ray, for all your hard work of managing my affairs.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA .

Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
