Man who died in motorcycle crash identified

A man who died in a motorcycle crash on Second Avenue near Freya Street Saturday has been identified as 24-year-old Matthew Bailey.

Witnesses told police that Bailey appeared to be speeding and lost control of his motorcycle and hit a curb. No other vehicles were involved. The crash is still under investigation.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office said Bailey died from head trauma.
