Pick Sanders in caucus
Are you concerned about the fires we experienced last summer? Are you bothered by the number of dangerous mile-long trains, especially oil trains, that come through Spokane continually? Have you noticed that our summers are hotter and drier? Are you concerned about climate change?
Then you should vote for Bernie Sanders in the upcoming Democratic caucus. He is the only candidate for president, either Republican or Democrat, who has consistently considered climate change a major issue, despite what the pundits and media promote.
Further, he is much more than a one-issue candidate (anti-Wall Street), which is what Hillary’s campaign is spreading. Bernie proposes Medicare for all; is against the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which will send jobs overseas; is for free public college tuition; and for ending mass incarceration, among other measures.
Unlike other politicians, he doesn’t change his positions with the political winds.
You need to attend the caucuses. Caucuses for Democrats will be held March 26 at 9:30 a.m., and you can register to vote on the spot. Those 17-year-olds turning 18 by Nov. 8 can participate. For locations, call (509) 325-8525 or go to www.Demcaucus.com for more information.
