Handelman no longer finalist
As many of you read here last week, Coeur d’Alene schools Superintendent Matt Handelman was one of six finalists for a superintendent post in Edmonds, Wash. In an email to staff last week (after the story of his activity appeared here on Huckleberries), Handelman said the opening was one of the few he’d be interested in. He explained that he cut his teeth as a principal in the Edmonds system. Today, Handelman circulated another email, stating simply that he was no longer a finalist for the Washington job:
In case you’re following my emails, I am no longer in the running in Edmonds. And, as I wrote last week, I remain your servant leader.
