FRANKLIN, Floyd A.

Floyd A. Franklin, age 88 of Deer Park, WA, passed away on March 22, 2016.

He was born in Spokane, WA at Sacred Heart Hospital to Arthur and Hester Franklin in 1927.

Floyd was drafted into the Army in 1945 and shipped to Wiesbaden Army Airfield in Germany with the 332 Engineering.

He became the motor sergeant where he spent his time in the service.

Upon his return to Spokane he gained employment at Wendle Ford, and he had 6 children with his 1st wife, Florence.

In 1963 they were divorced and he moved to California and married his 2nd wife, Jeannie.

Floyd and Jeanie then welcomed 1 more daughter, to add to Jean’s 3 children form a previous marriage as well.

He worked at Towne Ford and then Sunnyvale Ford, gaining ranks as the Fleet Manager and he did very well at his trade.

He loved selling cars and spending time with his customers; Floyd was a very gifted salesman.

He retired in 1992.

He then moved from Sunnyvale to Paradise, CA.

He was a longstanding member of the Elks Lodge 2026.

Upon retirement, he began to fish and made many fishing buddies and loved fishing every chance he could.

He resided in Paradise until 2005 and then moved briefly to Cottage Grove, OR.

In 2006 he moved back to the Spokane area and became a resident of Deer Park.

In 2007, his wife of 44 years, Jeannie passed away.

Floyd was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus at St. Mary Presentation where he has been a member since moving to Deer Park in 2006.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Hester Franklin, his sister Peggy Palmer, his youngest son Ronald Franklin, youngest daughter Sharon Roney, and his granddaughter Rhonda Smith.

Floyd is survived by his children: Gary (Barbara) Franklin of Worley, ID, Connie (Jim) Bennett of Loon Lake, WA, Michael (Kris) Franklin of Richland, WA, David Franklin of Springfield, OR, and Sandy Franklin of Deer Park, WA.

He is also survived by his stepchildren: Patrick (Val) Paullus of Pace, FL, Barbara (Russ) Smith of Bonanza, OR, and Jerry Paullus of Deer Park, WA.

Floyd also had a granddaughter he raised with his wife Jeannie since birth, Natasha (James) Anderson, of Deer Park, WA.

Floyd has numerous grandchildren and great-grand- children.

A Rosary service will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 7 P.M. at St. Mary Presentation Catholic Church in Deer Park, WA.

A Funeral Mass honoring Mr. Franklin will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Presentation in Deer Park, WA.

A luncheon for family and friends will follow the service in the Parrish Hall.
