SVARE, Sharon Ruth
(Age 68)

Sharon Ruth Svare, born on June 30, 1947 in Seattle, WA, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Sharon grew up on a wheat farm near Almira, WA with her beloved parents, Robert and Bessie Campbell and brothers’ Nicholas Campbell and William (Keith) Smith.

She began working for National Bank of Commerce - Almira branch, at age 19.

This was the beginning of a 26 year tenure as an executive for Rainier Bank/Security Pacific.

She later worked as an analyst for the Boeing Company for 18 years, where she retired in 2014.

Sharon had lived in the Seattle area for 42 years but had recently relocated to Liberty Lake, WA in 2014, to enjoy her retirement.

Sharon was passionate about her career but loved traveling, cooking, entertaining guests and gardening.

She had impeccable taste whether it was fashion, home decorating, art, literature or single malt Scotch.

Sharon took great pride in caring for her family and closest friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Merritt Furman of Redmond; granddaughters, Madison and Rosemary Pong; and many cherished friends and neighbors.


A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 - 145th Pl SE, Bellevue, WA, on Friday, April 8th at Noon.
