Idaho continues to sell state land
Idaho has sold 100,434 acres of state land since 2000, part of the 41 percent of land it has sold since Congress gave it at statehood. The group advocates keeping national forests and public lands under federal control. “History is clear on what will happen if our national public lands are given to the state,” said Brad Brooks, The Wilderness Society’s Boise-based deputy regional director. “They’re almost certain to end up in hands that will lock the public out”/ Rocky Barker , Idaho Statesman. Question: And we can trust the state to do right if it gained control of federal lands?
