(Age 94)

Passed away April 26, 2016.

Opal was born March 5, 1922 in Moscow, Idaho to Bert and Christine Severson of Troy, Idaho.


She graduated from Lewiston State Normal School in 1945 and taught school at Kingston, Idaho.

In 1946 Opal met and married Raymond Lahde.

Ray and Opal moved to Colbert in 1948, where they owned and operated a dairy farm.

Opal worked as an aide in the Physical Therapy department at Holy Family Hospital and as an Enterostomy Therapist.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1974, and their daughter Linda McOmber, brothers Glenn Severson and Floyd Severson, sisters Clarice Stoddard and Lela Lindbergh.

Opal is survived by sons Jim (Janice) Lahde, Jerry (Kay) Lahde of Colbert, WA and Ron Lahde of Dallas, TX.

She has eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grand- children, and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9702 N. Division St., Spokane, WA on Friday, May 13th at 2: 00 pm.
