Ex-Boy Scout leader sexually abused 5 boys, indictment alleges

Associated Press

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A former Boy Scout leader from Nashville has been indicted on statutory rape, sexual battery and other felony counts involving the alleged abuse of five boys.

The Tennessean reported the recent indictment says the boys were abused by 44-year-old Darrell G. Fisher, with the abuse occurring between 2008 and 2015.

The report says Fisher was arrested in January after a 17-year-old boy told investigators Fisher had abused him for several years at Fisher’s home.

Metro police spokesman Don Aaron says Fisher met the additional four victims through World War II re-enactment programs that Fisher led for the Boy Scouts.

The charges include two bribery counts, with Fisher accused of giving two of the boys money so they would not come forward.

It’s unclear whether Fisher has an attorney.
