Barry Bauchwitz has been in The Slice more than a dozen times.

I’m always glad to hear from him because I like the way he thinks. And he is a huge fan of Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully. So we know Barry has good taste.

Here’s something from Barry that I used to lead off my column on May 25 last year.

Barry Bauchwitz saw the Slice question about people changing their minds many times when choosing paint colors.

Sometimes this happens even after the paint has been applied. And I admire the way Barry described a recent such case with which he is familiar.

“There were so many coats of paint on the wall that I’m sure the dimensions of the room had diminished.”
