Don’t sign I-1515

As a Christian and a member of PFLAG, I support the LBGT community. Petitions will be out soon for Initiative 1515 to get it on the fall ballot to oppose the Washington non-discrimination law SB 6548, which has provided safety to all of our citizens, families, friends and co-workers for 10 years.

Do not sign these petitions. If passed, no one will be safer, and we can soon lose up to $4.5 million in federal funding for schools, human rights and more and also violate up to seven federal laws.

We need to continue treating everyone equally and not discriminate against people and places, such as bathrooms. Be proud of Washington’s being an equality state, and get to know and affirm someone of a diverse gender identity from yourself, and welcome them as friends.
