Body found in Spokane River near Post Street
The Spokane Police Department responded Sunday to a body found in the Spokane River in Riverfront Park.
The body was found just before noon close to a water intake system next to Post Street, police said in a news release.
The identity of the person, and whether the person was male or female, was not immediately known, police said.
Detectives are investigating a possible manner of death, and the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will work to identify the body.
