Baylor career rushing leader sidelined for attitude issues

WACO, Texas – Baylor acting head coach Jim Grobe isn’t planning for career rushing leader Shock Linwood to play for the 25th-ranked Bears at No. 9 Oklahoma because of some attitude issues.

Grobe said Monday that “it’s not anything major” but that Linwood has some issues to work through. The coach didn’t elaborate.

Linwood shoved a graduate assistant during the Bears’ 62-22 home loss to TCU on Saturday, when he had only six carries. Asked about that altercation, Grobe said he didn’t have any issues with what happened on the sideline between a player and assistant upset during a game.

Linwood has 594 yards rushing this season, with 237 yards against Iowa State. He had another game with only two carries.

Terence Williams is Baylor’s leading rusher with 691 yards and eight touchdowns.
