UNLV, Wyoming light it up as Rebels prevail 69-66 in 3OTs

Kurt Palandech amassed 409 total yards and four touchdowns passing and rushing and Nicolai Bornand made a 40-yard field goal in the third overtime to give UNLV a 69-66 win over Wyoming on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Palandech was 20-for-32 passing with three TDs and carried the ball 16 times for 157 yards and a score. UNLV (4-6, 3-3 Mountain West) had 653 total yards of offense to 485 for Wyoming (7-3, 5-1).

Notre Dame 44, Army 6: DeShone Kizer threw for three touchdown passes, C.J. Sanders returned the opening kickoff for a score, and the Fighting Irish (4-6) defeated the Cadets (5-5) at the Alamadome in San Antonio.

Kizer was 17 for 28 for 209 yards with an interception and had 72 yards on seven carries.

Navy 42, Tulsa 40: Navy quarterback Will Worth ran for 122 yards and scored three touchdowns and the Midshipmen (7-2, 5-1) took control of the American Athletic Conference’s West Division with a victory over the Golden Hurricane (7-3, 4-2) at Annapolis, Maryland.

Navy is in the driver’s seat to earn a spot, and possibly host, the AAC championship game on Dec. 3.

Brigham Young 37, Southern Utah 7: Taysom Hill threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns and the Cougars (6-4) secured a bowl berth with a victory over the Thunderbirds (5-5) at Provo, Utah.

The Cougars (6-4) will play in the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 21 in San Diego against a Mountain West Conference team.
