Volleyball: WSU Cougars pick up milestone victory

Washington State defeated No. 25 Arizona 25-18, 27-29, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12 Sunday in Pullman to give Cougars volleyball coach Jen Greeny her 200th collegiate victory.

The 19 victories for the Cougars (19-9, 9-7 Pac-12) are the most for the program since 2002.

WSU’s Kyra Holt had 17 kills, 12 digs and four blocks – her 48th double-double. Casey Schoenlein had a career-high 15 kills, a .419 hitting percentage, and five blocks. McKenna Woodford had 13 kills, 13 digs and three blocks and Haley MacDonald 30 assists and 11 digs.

The Wildcats fell to 16-12, 8-8.

Tia Scambray had a career-high 20 kills in just three sets to lead No. 11 Washington (22-4, 12-4 Pac-12) to a 25-20, 25-21, 25-14 victory over Arizona State (9-19, 2-14) in Seattle. Scambray hit .567.
