No injuries after Grant County deputy fires shot

A Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy fired a shot at a suspect early Saturday morning, but no one was injured.

Deputies responded to a home panic alarm at space 54 in the Harvest Manor Mobile Home Park at 4815 Airway Drive NE around 6:30 a.m. Saturday. A deputy looked in a window of the mobile home and saw a man holding a gun and began yelling commands to him, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

During the confrontation the deputy fired one shot but no one was injured. The name of the deputy, who has been placed on paid administrative leave per standard policy, has not been released.

The shooting is under investigation.
