More than 2,000 SPS students have immunization waiver

There are 2,572 Spokane Public Schools students with a waiver for one or more immunizations, according to district spokesman Kevin Morrison.

If there is an outbreak students and staff who aren’t immunized can be excluded from school, Morrison said.

The district does not keep a record of employee immunization, however the district does encourage teachers and volunteers to file an immunization history form.

If there was an outbreak staff would be asked to present documentation from their health provider showing their immunization history.
