What they’re saying about Zags: Dick Vitale a big fan
Dick Vitale has dubbed Gonzaga “Transfer U” but the thing that probably makes coach Mark Few and his coaching staff a little uncomfortable is the pressure from early-season predictions that have the Zags in the Final Four.
Vitale doesn’t actually predict a Final Four landing for Gonzaga, but says the team has all the ingredients to make a run. He does makes a case for the Zags being the best in the west and that includes Pac-12 teams Arizona, UCLA and Oregon.
Vitale, who was the color commentator on the ESPN broadcast of the Gonzaga-Iowa State title game at the Advocare Invitational in Orlando, is impressed with the combination of guards and a strong front line.
