G-Prep dropped to 7th in AP football rankings
The Gonzaga Prep football team, despite winning last week, dropped to seventh in the Associated Press rankings released Wednesday.
Moving up in the rankings ahead of the Bullpups (3-2) was Chiawana (5-0). Camas (5-0) moved into a tie for first with Richland (5-0).
In 2A, West Valley (5-0) received votes and would be ranked 11th if the poll extended beyond 10 teams.
Northwest Christian (5-0) and Liberty (5-0) are ranked second and third respectively behind top-ranked Napavine (5-0). Asotion (4-1) is fifth.
Defending 1B state champ Almira/Coulee-Hartline (5-0) continues to run second behind Lummi (5-0). Odessa-Harrington (4-0) is fourth.
