Portland beats Gonzaga men’s soccer team 5-1 in WCC opener.

The Portland Pilots scored five goals within a 13-minute stretch and beat Gonzaga 5-1 in a West Coast Conference men’s soccer opener in Spokane on Sunday.

The Bulldogs (6-4-1, 0-1-0) got the match’s first goal on Jakob Granlund’s penalty kick before the Pilots (7-3-1, 1-0-0) scored five times in the second half. The Pilots outshot the Bulldogs 14-3.
