Amador to miss Demo Club forum

In a press release for the Kootenai County Democratic Club, David Porter writes:

“The Kootenai County Democratic Club is hosting a forum for the Idaho State Legislature, District 4 B. The event begins at noon Friday at the Iron Horse Restaurant on Sherman Avenue. The intent is to provide information and transparency about legislative candidates for the voters in District 4. The audience will have the ability to ask questions through the moderator. Candidates Paul Amador and Tom Hearn were invited in early September. Paul Amador stated he has a previous commitment and was unable to attend. Tom Hearn has accepted the invitation. A follow-up invitation was issued last week to verify that Paul Amador was still unable to attend. On Monday of this week, we invited Mr. Amador to name another date and time to join Tom Hearn in a debate. As of the time of this press release there has been no response. The club has decided to continue as scheduled to have the forum this Friday for Tom Hearn.”

Question: Why is it that so many local and state Republican candidates have conflicts when someone tries to organize a debate? Do Democratic candidates in Idaho ever have conflicts with debate times and places?
