Few changes in AP prep football rankings

There were few changes in the Associated Press football rankings released Wednesday.

Gonzaga Prep (5-2) remained at No. 8 in 4A. Camas (7-0) got all 10 first-place votes and is followed by Richland, Sumner and Chiawana, each 7-0.

O’Dea (7-0), which knocked off two-time state champion Eastside Catholic (6-1) last week, moved to No. 1 in 3A. Eastside Catholic slipped to third. Squalicum (7-0) is second.

Archbishop Murphy (7-0) sits atop 2A.

Royal (7-0), which defeated Connell (6-1) last week, remained No. 1 in 1A and Connell continued at second.

Northwest Christian (7-0), a 36-26 winner over Liberty (6-1) last week, moved up a spot to second behind leader Napavine (7-0). Liberty slipped to fourth and is followed by Asotin (6-1), which visits NWC on Friday with the Northeast championship on the line.

There were no changes in 2B. Lummi (7-0) is No. 1 followed by Almira/Coulee-Hartline (7-0). Odessa-Harrington (6-0) is fourth.
