Wallace man killed when pickup truck rolls

A Wallace man died in an auto accident Wednesday night, the Idaho State Police said.

John H. Giachino, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene on Nine Mile Road in Wallace, the ISP said Thursday morning.

Giachino was northbound on the road shortly before 10 p.m. when he lost control of his Ford F150 pickup and crossed the southbound lane. He struck an embankment, the vehicle rolled and Giachino was ejected, the ISP said. He was not wearing a seat belt, the agency said.

The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office assisted the ISP at the scene.
