Accidental theater shooting gets man year of work release
KENT, Wash. – A man who pleaded guilty to assault in an accidental theater shooting has been sentenced to a year of work release.
KOMO-TV reported Dane E. Gallion drank beer and took anti-anxiety medication before going to see “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” in January.
Police said Gallion brought a gun because he feared the movie might spark a shooting.
A 40-year-old woman’s clavicle was shattered when she was shot.
KIRO-TV reported family members said during sentencing Friday that Gallion has a family to support.
He was also ordered to pay medical costs and lost work.
