Man critically injured in Green Bluff crash

From staff reports

A man was critically injured early Wednesday in a one-car crash in Green Bluff.

The driver was northbound on Beck Road and did not stop at the T-intersection of Day Mt. Spokane Road and slammed into an embankment just after midnight, the Spokane Coutny Sheriff’s Office reported in a news release.

A witness found the 70-year-old driver unresponsive and began CPR.

The sheriff’s office said that “impairment” likely was a factor in the crash. Deputies obtained a warrant to collect a blood sample.

The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was reported in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said.
