Spokane police are searching for a 24-year-old man with cognitive disabilities who was last seen eight days ago.

Worthy Roseberry’s family reported him missing on Sunday, saying they hadn’t seen or heard from him since Oct. 19, according to a police news release. Roseberry “functions at approximately 8 to 10 years of age,” and there are “additional reasons to be concerned” for his health and safety, police said.

Just after 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 19, Roseberry “told his mom he wanted to ‘go out’ but his mom had told him it was too early and to go back to bed. When she went to check on him later in the day, he was gone,” police said.

Roseberry is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall and 165 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes, a scruffy beard and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a navy-blue cotton sweater with green and maroon diamond shapes on the chest, and may be wearing tan Carhartt overalls.

Roseberry also has a shaved patch on the back of his head with butterfly bandages from a recent bicycle crash. Police said he walks with a distinctive “springy” step and has been known to hang out near Friendship Park and the wooded area near Kaiser Aluminum, 15000 E. Euclid Ave.

Anyone with information about Roseberry is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
