Injured hiker rescued after falling off cliff in Coos Bay

COOS BAY, Ore. – A 20-year-old man who fell off a cliff while hiking in Sunset Bay on the Oregon Coast has been rescued.

Crews from Coos Bay Fire and Rescue and the Coast Guard rescued the hiker Friday evening.

The Coast Guard says the hiker suffered bruises and cuts on his head and body but was in stable condition when he was taken to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay.
