Woman dies in hiking fall near North Bend

NORTH BEND, Wash. – Authorities say a woman has died after falling about 100 feet while hiking on a trail about 30 miles east of Seattle.

KIRO-TV reports the woman was on Teneriffe Falls Trail in Twin Falls State Park near North Bend Friday morning when she fell.

The King County Sheriff’s Office initially said the woman was unconscious and unresponsive. Responding crews found the woman dead at the scene.

The 7.5-mile trail is rated difficult by the website AllTrails.com.

No further information was immediately available.
