The season-opening Classics concert, “A World of Melodies” will feature Ottorino Respighi’s “Pines of Rome,” featuring live bird calls from Spokane bird caller Simone Ramel-McKay, a performance of the orchestral suite of Richard Strauss’ opera “Der Rosenkavalier,” and violin soloist Ilya Kaler joining in a performance of the Beethoven violin concerto.
