Spokane’s Corey Prugh wins Pacific Northwest PGA Professional Championship golf event in one-hole playoff

Warrenton, Ore. – Corey Prugh (Manito G&CC) shot a final-round 5-under-par 67 to erase a three-shot deficit and then made birdie on the first playoff hole to win the Pacific Northwest PGA Professional Championship at Astoria G&CC over defending Champion Tim Feenstra (Broadmoor GC, Seattle).

Prugh and Fenstra finished the 54-hole tournament tied with a score of 12-under 204, four shots clear of third-placed Scott Erdman of Lake Oswego, Ore.

Prugh earned $8,500 and an automatic spot to represent the Northwest Section at the PGA Professional Championship next June at Oregon’s Sunriver Resort, where the low 20 scores earn a spot in the Aug. 10-13 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow (N.C.).
