Behind Connor Halinan, G-Prep cruises past Rogers

For a second straight week, Gonzaga Prep sophomore running back Connor Halinan had a big game.

Halinan rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bullpups over the visiting Rogers Pirates 49-7 in a 4A/3A Greater Spokane League crossover football game Friday.

It started bad for Rogers (0-4) and got worse thereafter. The Bullpups’ Sam Lockett returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown.

G-Prep quarterback Ryan Gross completed 6 of 8 passes for 142 yards.
