Prep roundup: Lockwood helps Deer Park hold off Chewelah 20-6

Deer Park 20, Chewelah 6: Dean Lockwood rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown and Deer Park (4-1, 3-0) beat visiting Chewelah (2-3, 1-3) 20-6.

Connor O’Dea had 178 yards passing and a touchdown to Austin Wisinger, who had three catches for 97 yards.

Lakeside 20, Freeman 14: A 15-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted visiting Lakeside (3-2, 2-1) over previously undefeated and unscored-upon Freeman (4-1, 2-1) 20-14.

Riverside 32, Medical Lake 0: Ethan Spencer caught a 20-yard touchdown pass and returned an interception 19 yards for another score and visiting Riverside (1-4, 1-3) topped Medical Lake (0-5, 0-3) 32-0.

Colville 35, Newport 14: Noah Bagley carried the ball 22 times for 137 yards and scored three touchdowns and Colville (3-2, 2-1) beat visiting Newport (3-2, 2-1) 35-14.

Braden Flugel ran for 116 yards on 13 touches and scored two touchdowns.

Northeast 2B

Chase Burnham caught four touchdown passes from Garrett Rogers and ran for another score and Liberty (5-0, 5-0) defeated Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (1-4, 1-4) 42-14 at Ritzville.

Burnham finished with 103 yards receiving and 53 on the ground. Rogers was efficient, completing 13 of 16 passes for 169 yards.

Northwest Christian 53, Colfax 15: Silas Perreiah ran for 173 yards and two scores, Chris Carey added two touchdowns through the air, and Northwest Christian (5-0, 5-0) defeated host Colfax (3-2, 3-2) 53-15.

Perreiah’s 72-yard gallop put the Crusaders in front for good in the second quarter, and they went on to score 33 unanswered points. NWC piled up 329 yards rushing on 32 attempts. Chris Carey added 195 yards passing.

Kettle Falls 20, Reardan 7: McKay Knowlton had touchdown runs of 79 and 5 yards and Kettle Falls (2-3, 2-3) knocked off visiting Reardan (2-3, 2-3) 20-7.

Davenport 44, Wilbur-Creston 20: Evan Johnson ran for a pair of touchdowns and Davenport (3-2, 3-2) topped host Wilbur-Creston (0-5, 0-5) 44-20.

Jaden Flett opened the scoring with a 45-yard run and the Gorillas built a 30-0 lead by the second quarter. Davenport rushed for 350 yards as a team.

Asotin 54, Springdale 8: Jake Dilling ran for three touchdowns and visiting Asotin (4-1, 4-1) rolled Springdale (0-5, 0-5) 54-8.

Northeast 1B

Inchelium 56, Cusick 26: Waylen Lelone rushed for 213 yards on 23 carries with three touchdowns and for Inchelium (4-1, 1-0) beat visiting Cusick (2-2, 0-1) 56-26.

Winston Finley added 181 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns. Jaden Erickson threw for a touchdown, rushed for another, and also returned an interception for a score. Mickey Andrews caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Erickson and also had in interception.

Jed Kupp scored three touchdowns for Cusick, two rushing and one in the air.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 64, Pateros 6: Charles Hunt rushed for 97 years on eight carries with a touchdown and visiting Almira/Coulee-Hartline defeated Pateros 64-6.

ACH rushed for 259 yards and held Pateros to minus-8 yards.

Hayden Loomis scored three touchdowns for ACH, including a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown. Mac Issac threw for two scores and ran in another.

Nonleague

Lake City 28, Sandpoint 7: Matt Duchow ran for a touchdown and threw for another to help Lake City (3-3) top visiting Sandpoint (2-4) 28-7.

Duchow had 63 yards rushing and was 10 of 21 passing for 110 yards. Grant Clark carried 20 times for 174 yards.

Lakeland 42, Timberlake 14: Wyatt Gatten scored on three short touchdown runs and visiting Lakeland (3-3) handled Timberlake (0-6) 42-14 in Spirit Lake.

Gatten had scoring runs of 2, 12 and 1 yards and rushed for 171 yards on 26 carries. Tanner Fuston returned an interception 55 yards for a score and Andrew Neilson added a 26-yard touchdown run.

Ryan Stevens led Timberlake with 106 yards and a 70-yard touchdown run.

West Valley 58, Kellogg 0: Conner Whitney and Drake Ferguson both scored on interception returns and West Valley (5-0) cruised past Kellogg (1-4) 58-0.
