Spokane police seize another gun, more drugs and a wooden baton
Spokane police officers chased and arrested a 22-year-old man on Sunday, seizing a handgun, brass knuckles and a wooden baton in the process, the department said.
Austyn M. Davis was booked into the Spokane County Jail at noon on an outstanding warrant and a number of new charges. The Spokane Police Department shared a photo of the seized items on Twitter. In addition to the weapons, it showed four small bags of drugs and a blue bandana.
According to jail records, Davis faces charges of drug possession, first- and second-degree burglary, obstructing a public officer, gun violations and possession of a stolen vehicle.
A police spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a message Sunday seeking additional information about Davis’ arrest.
In four separate incidents last weekend, Spokane police seized a significant amount of drugs and at least 10 guns from suspects, including a sawed-off shotgun and several military-style rifles.
