Troopers suspect intoxication in crash that injured two men in Lincoln County
The Washington State Patrol said two men were airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane after their pickup truck veered off a highway late Saturday in Lincoln County.
Troopers suspect the driver, Connor R. Deife, 25, of Marlin, Washington, was intoxicated at the time of the crash. The State Patrol reported he was driving west on state Route 28 about 10 miles west of Odessa when he drifted to the left and then overcorrected to the right.
The truck rolled, ejecting the passenger, Shane D. Portillo, 26, of Spokane. Both men were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Odessa before being airlifted to Sacred Heart.
The WSP indicated charges against Deife are pending.
