The Seattle Mariners finally scratched out a run on Tuesday after 12 2/3 scoreless innings to start the season. They take on the Houston Astros still looking for their first home run and multi-run rally. James Paxton makes his first start of the season for the M’s.

In other news, Felix Hernandez was given the go-ahead for Saturday’s start against the Angeles in Anaheim, Mariners manager Scott Servais confirmed in his pregame press conference.

Veteran catcher Carlos Ruiz is scheduled to make his first start of the season in Thursday’s finale against Houston.

Lefty Dillon Overton is expected to return to the roster after missing the first three games of the season on the paternity list. His wife, Morgan, gave birth on Tuesday to the couple’s first child. RHP Chase De Jong is slated to be sent to Tacoma and will join the Rainiers’ starting rotation.
