Body found near Two Lakes Motel in Coeur d’Alene

April 6, 2017 Updated Thu., April 6, 2017 at 7:47 p.m.

A man’s body was found near a small pond behind the Two Lakes Motel at 320 E. Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive Thursday afternoon, according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.

A man fishing nearby spotted the body in a lightly wooded area and called 911 just before 4 p.m. The location is just inside the Coeur d’Alene city limits.

Det. Jared Reneau said there does not appear to be any significant trauma on the body of the white middle-aged male. Investigators are trying to determine the man’s identity and anyone with information is asked to call the police department at (208) 769-2320.
