Instrumental rock quartet Explosions in the Sky announces Sept. 23 show at Knitting Factory

UPDATED: Mon., April 10, 2017

Austin-based instrumental rock quartet Explosions in the Sky has announced a Sept. 23 show at the Knitting Factory as part of its ongoing tour in support of its latest album “The Wilderness.”

On “The Wilderness,” which was released in April of 2016, Explosions in the Sky stays true to form, creating a variety of sonic textures using elements of rock, shoegaze, folk and electronica.

No strangers to Spokane, Explosions in the Sky played the Bing Crosby Theater in 2011 and the Spokane Arena with Nine Inch Nails in 2013.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. via the Knitting Factory website and TicketWeb.
