Man whose body was found near Two Lakes Motel in Coeur d’Alene identified

The man whose body was found near a small pond in Coeur d’Alene Thursday has been identified as 43-year-old Larry Duane Long of Polson, Montana.

The circumstances surrounding his death are still being investigated, the Coeur d’Alene Police Department announced via Facebook.

Long was spotted just before 4 p.m. Thursday by a fishermen who saw him in a lightly wooded area near Two Lakes Motel at 320 E. Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

Detectives are asking anyone who had contact with Long between April 3 and April 6 to call the department at (208) 769-2320.
