Learn about growing mushrooms and more

Registration is due Friday for Growing Forest Mushrooms and Forest Edibles workshops.
The mushroom class covers techniques for growing a variety of edible mushrooms, including oyster and shiitake mushrooms, from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. April 27, in Building 2 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Government Way in Coeur d’Alene.
The other class examines a range of edible forest products from 1 to 5 p.m. April 28 at the same location.
Classes are $15 each. The University of Idaho Extension and Idaho Department of Lands are hosting both classes, with Jim Freed leading each session.
